For me this was the most amazing part of the trip. I think because it was so unexpected. The huge piers and,outer gates at Sharpness opening up in front of us. We made really great time. Moving along at 12 knots at some points. Portishead to Sharpness in 3 hours and 5 minutes. OK, very unlike a millpond but we've seen spray almost as bad on the Thames and the Trent. I loved it. We've stopped about half a mile in. Bad signal so I'm giving up at this point, you can meet Bill, our,pilot, later. The last bottle of Zoe and Paul's wedding Nytender came out. Then a weary ... Well we were up at 0500!!

We just love the G&S
