Company ... Of the rather loud kind

We pressed on through Braunston today. That had been our intention but with all the moorings at Braunston reserved for an IWA fest it was just as well. Currently very few occupied. Pausing only to visit the chandlers by the bottom lock we were off.  We shared the first lock with a single hander who wanted to be on his own so hung back. By lock 3 we'd caught up with a hire boat couple heading for Stoke Bruene  We thought we'd have company through the Buckby Flight but ... they didn't make if into the tunnel. Later Alistair told me it was the second time they'd set off to go through and the second time she was too frightened!  Not sure how they got over that or where they would turn!  There was a fair bit if traffic coming towards us so we were fine.

Sorry not to have had chance to catch up with the lovely team at Milburn boats - it's not that we're avoiding you we just got ahead of ourselves and can't seem to stop. Two weeks ago today we were just leaving Bristol!

Although we've been on the Braunston/Norton Junction section before on SIR GALAHAD it was the first time for QISMA. It's a long haul down to Gayton Junction after the last lock. With the M1 on one side and the Railway on t'other.

Fortunately we're on a quiet mooring just before Gayton Junction.
